Ms. Walsh is a native Texan, born in Dallas in 1981. As a child Sarah was enamored with creating and loved anything to do with art. She displayed a talent for creativity at a very early age and excelled in art classes from elementary through high school. Sarah struggled to find her niche until she was assigned a project to paint in the manner of Georgia O'Keeffe. This project was her artistic awakening. Although she has experimented with many forms of media, she always returns to her first love, painting.
As an undergraduate at Texas Tech University, she took courses to receive a degree in Advertising. She knew the industry would not allow her the creative freedom she craved, so she supplemented her degree with a minor in Photographic Arts. This allowed her to take a variety of courses ranging from design and drawing to photography. Ironically, she is a self-taught painter. Of course, it was the art courses that she looked forward to and where she felt most alive.
After graduating, Sarah returned to Dallas, works in publishing and continues to paint as a creative outlet.
